My Services

I provide compassionate and non-judgemental support to birthgivers in all birth settings and situations.

Below is an outline of what my services include.

Pregnancy

  • 1 Initial get-to-know each other meeting.
  • 2 Visits during your pregnancy.
  • These visits include:
    • Learning your preferences and reviewing your options for birth.
    • Addressing any fears or concerns you have about pregnancy, birth or early parenting.
    • Providing relevant evidence-based information.
    • Creating a birth plan.
    • Pregnancy exercises to help your baby get in to an optimal position for birth.
  • Text/email and phone support.
  • On-call 24/7 from 2 weeks before your estimated due date until when your baby arrives.

Birth

  • I will meet you either at your home or your place of birth.
  • I will remain with your throughout your birth, providing reassurance, emotional support and non-medical forms of pain relief such as - acupressure and rebozo.
  • I help to protect your safe and calm birthing environment, allowing you to dive deep in to that space where you will find the power within to birth your baby.
  • I will support your birth partner(s) and help them to be a part of the birth.
  • I can help you liaise with your medical birth professionals if required and advocate for your rights and your birth plan.
  • After your baby is born I will usually stay for 2-3 hours, until you are settled and have had your first feed together.

After Birth

I will visit you in your home ideally within two weeks of your baby’s birth. This visit is really about supporting you in whichever way you need.

This may include:

  • Talking about your birth and addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
  • Making sure that breast/chest/alternative feeding is going well
  • Helping answer any questions you may have about the care and well-being of your newborn.
  • Directing you to professional services as required.
  • Looking after baby while you catch up on some sleep, relax or do what need.
